Bluehill Universal: Keeping Your Testing Simple

Bluehill® Universal was built from the ground-up for touch interaction. Bluehill Universal’s large touch-points and intuitive gestures make the user experience simpler and smarter. Easy-to-understand icons and workflows make it easy to train new or experienced users, simplifying operator training and allowing you to start your testing even faster.

Bluehill Universal can be installed on an integrated Operator Dashboard, which includes either a 15” or 22” touch monitor with optional integrated controller, and mounting brackets for new or existing testing systems.  The Operator Dashboard’s optional swing-in touchscreen mounting sits close to the test system, minimizing repetitive movement of the operator, and improving the overall ergonomics of testing.

QuickTest, a new standard feature of Bluehill Universal, allows users to start tests quickly as it only takes a few seconds to enter your parameters. When a QuickTest is closed, the parameters from the previously-run QuickTest are automatically saved for the next time you need to conduct that test.

QuickTest is ideal for users looking to run very simple peak-force type tests, or for users who need to quickly run a test with a single ramp. It is also ideal for users who are not familiar with Bluehill method building, making the software more accessible to a wider range of users within your lab.

Every purchase of Bluehill Universal includes access to a single application-specific module, such as adhesives, biomedical, composites, elastomers, metals, plastics, and textiles. Each module includes test method templates for the most common ASTM, ISO, and EN standards within each application, allowing you to test to the most common standards in your industry within minutes.  Methods are adjustable to meet the individual needs of your operators and your lab workflow. If desired, the entire Test Method Suite can be purchased—ideal for teaching labs and contract testing environments with multiple test setups.

Prompted Test Methods provide customizable step-by-step guidance throughout the entire testing process. Users can be prompted to enter critical test parameters such as Operator Name, Batch Number, specimen measurements, etc. before a test, or Specimen Notes after a test. Detailed instructions and pictures can be added to the prompt screens to show a user how the test should be set up, keeping the testing procedure consistent across multiple operators—critical in both teaching environments or in labs with multiple operators of various experience levels.
