Set of 1500kN Dual Side Acting Hydraulic Grips. Both sides of the grip are powered. Patent-pending DuraSync® design allows opposing clamping surfaces to travel in a synchronized motion to provide automatic on-center clamping of specimens. Capable of testing slightly bent or irregular specimens such as rebar or wire rod. Includes grip clamp/un-clamp/neutral controls on ergonomic handset. Standard mounting to 1500KX/KPX frames.

Round and Flat tensile specimens:

• Flats: 0 - 120 mm (0 - 4.72 in) thick x 150 mm (5.91 in) wide
• Rounds: 3 - 85 mm (0.12 - 3.35 in) diameter * Minimum specimen length is 350 mm (13.8 in)
• Use W-5431, W-5432 jaw faces (sold separately) Wire strand tensile specimens:
• Nominal Strand Diameter: 5 - 25 mm (3/16 - 1 in) * Minimum specimen length is 546 mm (21.5 in)
• Use W-5438 holders and W-5404 series of inserts (sold separately)

Thru zero cyclic testing of Round and Flat specimens

• Maximum frequency for thru zero testing is 1 hertz
• Flats (Thru Zero): 0 - 85 mm (0 - 3.35 in) thick x 143 mm (5.63 in) wide
• Rounds (Thru Zero): 3 - 85 mm (0.12 - 3.35 in) diameter

* Minimum specimen length is 355 mm (14.0 in) for thru zero specimens

• Use W-5436, W-5437 jaw faces (sold separately)

* Note - Minimum specimen lengths are theoretical and do not account for the use of an extensometer. Measured with zero clearance between upper and lower grips, and can be load frame dependent. Specifications (per grip):<
